Create Your Own Soul-Garden in Your Home

A Soul-Garden Retreat in your home is a retreat where you take the time you need to re-group and reconnect with yourself anytime anywhere.

When we make time to engage in some self-care and nurturing, we create space for a deeper self-awareness of our life to emerge. Self-reflection may lead to discovering aspect of oneself that no longer serves us allowing for increased confidence and self-esteem. The rewards that can come from spending time with yourself can give rise to self-renewal as well as self-transformation.

My Soul-Garden Home Retreats are deisgned to give you the tools to transform and grow in all areas of your life from anywhere in the world. Thorugh meditation, yoga and coaching we will explore your purpose and uncover what is holding you back from living your life to your fullest potential. Your Soul-Garden Home Retreat can be part of a trip you have planned, a long weekend at home or a focused addition to your week.

Soul-Garden Home Retreats are offered in a 3 or 5 day live online package and includes daily meditation and yoga practices, coaching sessions and a pre and post follow up session.

How to make the most of your Soul-Garden Home Retreats:

1. Make it a priority.

Together we will choose a date and time that feels right for you and which you can manage. Then we will create a daily schedule, scheduling your morning meditation, practices and coaching sessions in a way that works best for you. Remember, you are worth it, and when you feel good, good things will happen to you and those around you.

2. Schedule your dates.

Let people know you are going to be unavailable whether by phone, email or in person during your practices and sessions. Give it the same priority as if you were going away on a retreat. You may decide to be unreachable except for emergencies, and will only check your messages on a certain day or every day at a certain time. Let people know by recording this information on your voicemail or set up an email auto-responder.

3. Set your intention.

In our first session you will set an intention. The clearer you are of why you are doing the retreat, the closer you will be to reaching your desired outcome. It might be that you wish to create space to refocus or reconnect; to rest and relax for mental relaxation; or for spiritual growth, vision building, emotional healing, physical wellbeing, or even for personal development.

4. Prepare your space.

You have to consider where to do the retreat. If you do it in your home, you may wish to put away anything that you do not be need and would, therefore, clutter up your space or have a space dedicated to yourself for the next few days.

You might turn off, unplug and even cover up or put away the TV, phone and computer during selected times. The point is to free yourself from distractions, interruptions, obligations and expectations.

5. Get yourself ready.

Prepare what you need. For instance, buy groceries so you do not need to make a run for the supermarket or any other unnecessary trips. Stock up on easy-to-prepare meals or cook some the evening before starting the retreat. This way you are not spending time cooking.

Also, try eating smaller servings than usual and eat more regularly if you need to so you are not digesting a big meal, which is more likely to make you tired and sleepy. If you wish to include sessions with a nutritionist in your retreat this can be added.

Sessions will be held on Zoom so you need to download Zoom to your computer or other preferred device.

6. Be in the now.

Check in with yourself, I suggest keeping a journal for the duration of the reatreat, to write down anything that shows up for you during your meditaions, practices or in one of our coaching sessions. And also to keep with your original intentions, which you set for your retreat. We can then look at this together in our sessions. By pre-arranging a schedule, there is less room for distractions. Without any people around (or less people around), there's less talking and your mind will become calmer. Do every action — eating, washing up and showering — mindfully.

Your Soul-Garden Home Retreats is created to be a retreat where you give relaxed attention to your every movement, feeling and thought. Maintain a nice and easy pace and avoid all distractions and annoyances.

When you are relaxed, everything will flow more naturally. The time you spend on creating a transformative environment for yourself will be worth it in the end. You will be better nurtured, supported, inspired and will come away feeling rejuvenated in body, mind and spirit.
